The Great Canadian Trade Fair and Sale

The Great Canadian Trade Fair and Sale is an event that’s fun for the whole family! There are over 340 exhibitors, a family fun zone, and over 1,000 prizes to be won. It is also an excellent opportunity to talk with your city council and make connections with local professionals like lawyers, accountants, and bankers. Make sure to check out the home renovation hall to find services for home design and landscaping along with hot tubs, trailers, and vehicles. There’s even a Taste of Strathcona, where you can sample the great food from the restaurants in your community. Don’t miss this great weekend-long show!

501 Members Show and Sale
Price: Free
When: April 1 – May 1, 2016

The 501 Members Show and Sale is a great opportunity to take in some local art and support your community. Participating artists will have their work available to the public all month long, with many pieces available for sale if you are looking to add to your collection. It’s a wonderful exhibit with art to suit just about any taste.

Wholly Handmade
Price: FREE
When: Saturday, April 16, 2016, 10-5pm
Where: The Agora, Strathcona County Community Centre, 401 Festival Lane, Sherwood Park, AB

If you’re looking for unique, handmade gifts, you won’t want to miss the Wholly Handmade shopping extravaganza! There will be over 90 local artisans and crafters at the Strathcona County Community Centre selling their products. Best of all, it’s free to attend! Come see what the locals have been creating, from bath products, sweet treats, clothing, jewelry and accessories, and much more. You’re sure to find something you love. 10th Annual Evening of Poetry

Enjoy an evening of wine, cheese, and poetry from some great Alberta poets. This evening will be hosted by Writer in Residence Marty Chan. There will also be an open mic portion for those who would like to read their own work to a crowd. April is National Poetry month, so this event couldn’t be timed better.
